WIF 2008

Within 3 years, WIF (Webdesign International Festival) stood out as the main event for Webdesign enthusiasts; whether they are professionals or amateurs.

This international festival is an occasion for revealing talents. Not less than 40 teams made up of the best webdesigners in the world brought together in the heart of Limousin to have a 24hours of non-stop competition.

On top of the competition, the WIF has the ambition to be the international meeting point of the interactive design.

Custom Home Design Awards 2008

Custom home builders, remodeling contractors, architects, developers, planners, kitchen and bath specialists, and other industry professionals are invited to enter custom homes completed after 1 January 2003. Only true custom homes, that is, homes designed and built for a specific client and a specific site, are eligible. Spec houses, luxury production houses, show homes, and houses built from stock or semi-custom plans are not eligible. Also, houses that have previously won a CUSTOM HOME Design Award are not eligible.

Bolia Design Award 2008The Bolia Design Awards is open for any corporate or private designer, who has a passion for furniture and a desire to be a part of the development of New Scandinavian Design. The objective is to design a piece of furniture for living-, dining or bedroom. It must be a single product, i.e. a sofa, a swivel chair, a dining- or coffee table, a dining chair or a bed. Bolia will award the 2 best designs, as well as give the possibility for the designers to join the Bolia Design Team, on a free lance basis.

High School Web Design Contest Winner Announced

Norte Dame High School student wins scholarship and laptop in the 4th annual Web design contest.

Chicago, Illinois, July 5, 2006—Dmitry Barsky, 18, won the first place prize in the “Web Developers of the Future” contest cosponsored by Hostway Corporation and Mayor Richard M. Daley’s Council of Technology Advisors. Barsky will
receive a Dell Inspiron B130 laptop and a $1,000 scholarship.
