Design Snack
Design Snack is a user-controlled web design showcase, mainly focused on CSS/XHTML (Web Standards) and Flashed-based designs. Design Snack provides the members with the control to decide which websites are showcased on the front page and which websites aren’t. Design Snack believes this concept provides the users with much more control over the content they would expect to see on a web design showcase.
When you submit a website, that website instantly starts out as a Submission. When a Submission is viewed by members, they have the option to give the website a positive or negative vote (they can also leave positive, negative or neutral comments). If, within a certain period of time, there is NOT enough positive feedback, the Submission is then removed from Design Snack and deleted. If it DOES receive enough positive feedback, it leaves the Submission list and becomes an Approved website. Once a Submission becomes an Approved website, it becomes a permanent addition to Design Snack.
At this stage, members can continue leaving comments and votes, but now they can add that website to their favorites list. Meanwhile, Design Snack will be reviewing these Approved websites constantly. When find one that particularly stands out, Design Snack shall award that website with a “Cookie Award” (See question 2). When an Approved website recieves a Cookie Award, it is removed from the Approved websites list and put on the Awarded list, the highest level on Design Snack.
