DRH Design Award Program
The DRH Design Award was started to show my appreciation for individuals or groups that exhibit creativity in a site’s content or in the site itself.
The project chosen for the 2007 award is 2100 Ross Avenue located in Dallas, Texas. The project was completed in 2006. It consisted of a composite aluminum canopy that went from the exterior to the interior of the lobby, and some concrete pylons that were re-clad with a new structural glass skin. The existing glazing was removed at the entrance and replaced with structural glass mounted on some stainless steel spider castings and attached to steel tubes that also serve to hold up the canopy.
