Quartermaster Award ProgramThis Award Program and it’s graphic awards were created in order to recognize and honor the many fine webmasters whose sites clearly show hard work, dedication, knowledge, skills, and caring about one’s work.

“After my father, Gerald O. Day, passed away in March 2002, I was looking for a way to honor his memory and to keep his spirit alive. Also, I wanted to honor the finest patriotic and military sites on the net. I wanted to recognize the devotion and long hours of work it takes to create a fine site.

Not many patriotic or nautical theme Award Programs existed. Since my father was the first “Quartermaster” aboard the USS SAVAGE (DE-386), I decided to design my program around this topic. I felt this was an appropriate way to
