I n Latin, the word astralis means “star quality,” or in other words, the very best among its kind.  The Astral Awards are given to websites that demonstrate star quality with the highest standards of excellence in all areas of website design.

The Gold Award is given only to outstanding websites that meet all criteria, and excel in originality, design, and content.  Gold Award winners must also receive a review score of at least 90 points on the 100-point rating system.

The Silver Award is given to excellent websites that meet all general criteria, but may be lacking in one or two areas of ’star quality.’  Silver Award winners must also receive a review score of at least 80 points on the 100-point rating system.

The Bronze Award is given to websites that clearly outshine most websites on the World Wide Web, but may yet need a little more work.  Bronze Award winners must also receive a review score of at least 70 points on the 100-point rating system.

The Peer Award is given exclusively to websites that are, or contain, their own awards program.  This award is unique unto itself and does not carry a gold, silver, or bronze distinction.  There is no advancement beyond this award.
